From a young age, the founder of Sateria was often labeled as a 'dreamer,' a term that sometimes carried negative connotations of being inattentive or fanciful. However it was this very quality, this ability to see the world not as it is, but as it could be, that fueled the creative energy that inspired the designer to create art that reflects their unique impressions of the world. It is this same creative energy that led to the birth of Sateria. A brand that is more than just clothing; it’s a manifestation of a ‘dreamer’s’ view of the world.

 

Bridging the divide between merchandise and art Sateria embodies the synergy of contrasting elements, two extremes of a spectrum. Dark and light, monochromatic and contrasting color palettes, static and dynamic details. Inspired by playful, sensual and mischievous Satyrs and the serene, pure and perfect Maria. Every piece we create is a dialogue between two ends of a spectrum, a blend of streetwear and graphic design with the soul of fine art.

 

The brand, though reaching for opposite ends of spectrums and worlds, is developed entirely in Amsterdam. Each step of the way, from the first sketches to the final stitches, has been taken in the city we’re happy to call home, the place where we too were born. This local and sustainable approach allows us to be intimately involved with every aspect of creating this brand. An experience and pleasure that has ensured that the merchandise is not just the very best it can qualitatively be but also tells a story of homegrown passion and craftsmanship.
